Gobble, Gobble!
This month we are putting together a turkey on the felt or story board. Pictured above are the felt pieces. The eyes are glued down but the other pieces must be put into the correct place.
I cut the pieces out of felt and although they are not perfect, they work just fine! I put the turkey together to let Jake see how the process worked. He enjoyed taking the turkey apart. He has not quite figured out putting it together but will with practice. I have found handing him two or three of the pieces and allowing him to do the final touches works out the best. After the turkey is together he always kisses it then takes it all apart!
Make your own turkey and have fun describing the body parts of the turkey as you go!
Very cute! I love felt board play (and so does my 2 year old).
ReplyDeleteI really like those large shapes in the background and the word cards that are printed so large. Did you make those or buy them?
Thanks! I bought the word cards at a teacher store. They came in a package of color words and shape words.
